Remember my (adorable) matching Christmas Pajamas from Hanna Andersson? Well.. they are about to get a bit more personal!
Below I will show you how I customized my Hanna Andersson Pajamas with Green and Gold Glitter Heat Transfer Vinyl from Expressions Vinyl! And then you’ll have a chance to enter to WIN one of TWO SILHOUETTE MACHINES so that you can make your own personalized pajamas!
You Need:
- a pair (or two) of Hanna Andersson Pajamas
- Green Heat Transfer Vinyl from Expressions Vinyl
- Gold Glitter Heat Transfer Vinyl from Expressions Vinyl
- Iron & Ironing Board
- Silhouette Machine
First things first, let’s Ohh and Ahh over these cute pajama choices from Hanna Andersson.
Now, type your names into the Silhouette Studio Software. Once you find the font that you like, right click and select Offset. (I typically use .015 – .025 to create a small background shadow)
Measure your garment. Then resize both layers to fit your measurements.
Mirror your images.
You are ready to cut! Insert your first piece of heat transfer paper into the machine and adjust you’d settings accordingly. I used: the pre set setting of Smooth for the green and Flocked for the glitter. I also dropped the Speed to a 1 on both. Make sure the shiny side of your vinyl is facing down in the machine. (You do not want to cut through that.)
Once you cut your items it’s time to weed!
Now, let’s apply your htv! Heat your iron on the cotton setting. Take your first layer (in this case green) and apply with the shiny side up (that is the protective coating and we will peel it off once heated.) Press your iron down for 10 seconds, making sure to get all corners. Remove your cloth, let cool for a few seconds and then carefully
Lift the film off of the HTV. If the HTV lifts with the film iron it again.
Your tops should look like this
Repeat the steps for your top layer of vinyl!
That’s it! They are done.
