This month’s Silhouette Challenge theme was SPRING! And since I’m way behind on my Easter decorating, I decided to seize the crafting moment and make a plate for the Easter Bunny. (after all Santa get’s his own cookie plate, why should the Easter Bunny be left out?!)
This project was so simple it doesn’t even matter that you have less then a week before you need to leave a little treat! You Need:
- a plate (I bought mine at the Dollar Store)
- Spring colored vinyl (I bought mine from Expressions Vinyl)
- Transfer Tape
- a hook and a scraper
- a Silhouette Machine
Once I had all my materials, I designed a simple plate design. (want a free file, let me know! I am happy to share.) I have yet to make the Silhouette Software upgrade, so I color coordinate my layers so that I know what to cut and when.
Grab your first sheet and start cutting! Make sure you go to the scissors icon and click NO cut, and CUT on the appropriate items!
Once I had all my pieces, I used my transfer tape to keep the words nice and neat, and applied them to the plate. Typically, I wouldn’t recommend placing vinyl on a surface that you would directly eat from. But since the plate will have limited use, and will never be microwaved or cut upon I think it’s fine.
Now, all that’s left to do is wait for Saturday and hope that Jo wants to leave the Easter Bunny a treat! But in the mean time how about you check out 39 of my Silhouette Buddies and their Spring Silhouette Projects!

Awwwww! That is so cute! It’s like carrots for the reindeer! *squee* Yep. Def. love this!
Awww 🙂 I think the Easter Bunny will love this special, personalized treat plate!
Ha ha, I love this idea, Deanna! And it’s funny, my Dad always wrote us fake notes as the Easter bunny when we were growing up, usually a scavenger hunt leading to our Easter baskets. But he got WAY more into it even than he did our Santa letters. Having an Easter bunny plate like this would have been so fitting for us!
Thanks for being such an awesome coordinator for this month’s Challenge…even despite the challenges, lol. 😉
This is such a neat idea – and I bet the Easter Bunny will love you for it too!
