What is Birth Photography?

To put it simply, a birth photographer is someone who documents your babies arrival.

Why should you consider  having one?

We are talking beautiful, well cropped pictures that capture things like your babies first breath, first bath, meeting you for the first time…the BIG moments that tend to get missed in the chaos of your babies arrival. But by hiring a photographer those moments will forever stand still, and whenever you see a photo you will be transported back to that hospital room meeting your baby for the first time.

Still on the fence? Here let me show you a few of mine…

Not what you imagined, right? As you can see, there’s nothing gross about Birth Photography, no crotch shots that you need to fear. By hiring a professional they know how to position the camera to show the beauty of the event, the raw emotion that is charging the room.

So tell me, are you thinking about having a Birth Photographer?

And for you NJ girls, I used Madison Mae Photography for my photos, and it was a wonderful experience! Everything from coordinating her arrival (which meant she was on call for what seemed like weeks), to her getting the angle (baby came pretty quick so she did not have a lot of time) and capturing the moment without me even noticing that she was in the room! So if you are looking for someone you should contact Dana, tell her I said Hello!

  2. These are beautiful and this is something I would have never thought of doing but looking at these has me rethinking.
