Between Halloween & Thanksgiving there are a lot of photo opportunities! From picking out pumpkins to school parties, you are destined to need a festive shirt for your little one. So why not whip up a QUICK personalized shirt?! See how I made Jo & the soon to be little pumpkin a personalized shirt from fabric & HTV!
- Plain White Shirt
- Orange Fabric (I only cut a 1/4 of a yard)
- Black HTV from Expressions Vinyl
- Heat n Bond Ultrahold (no-sew)
- Iron & Ironing Board
- a Silhouette Cameo
- a Silhouette Cutting Mat
First you want to find a pumpkin that you like, and size it for the shirt size that you need.
Next we are going to slice the top off of the big pumpkin since we will be using HTV on the black, but fabric for the orange.
Time to cut some fabric! But first check your cut lines.
I used the fabric setting on double cut but I slowed the speed all the way down since that’s how my blade seems to like it.
Iron the Heat N Bond to the back side of your fabric, let cool and then adhere to mat, and now go CUT!
Peel your decal off of the mat
Peel off the back of the fabric paper
and iron it down
Repeat the cutting & ironing steps for the black HTV, but make sure you MIRROR the image BEFORE you cut the name!!!
That’s it! Now you’ll see in the right corner of the screen shot images I was also attempting to cut a bow but I’ve yet to put it together. If it all works out I’ll be sure to let you know! The cut file for that is over at Six Sisters.
Happy Fall ya’ll! xo, Dee
P.S. this is the first official onsie that I made the baby… squeal!
